Because Nobody Wants to Read Another Boring Blog
There are already approximately eleventy billion blog posts on the internet.
Your audience probably doesn’t need another one that says a lot without actually saying anything.
Good blog content should have a reason to exist. It might answer a question, solve a problem, explain something complicated, introduce someone to your brand or finally get that useful piece of expertise out of your head and onto your website.
Whatever the goal, it needs to be worth clicking on.
I write engaging, well-researched blog content that combines useful information with personality, clear structure and a tone of voice that actually sounds like your brand.
Below, you can explore some of the blogs, articles, guides and other content I’ve created for clients across a frankly eclectic range of industries.
Past and present happy clients include:

I Write About Health. But Not Only Health.
Health and medical writing is my specialist area, but my portfolio has taken me into plenty of other corners of the internet over the years.
I’ve written about:
- Veterinary health and pet care
- Legal topics
- Property
- Insurance
- Food and drink
- Lifestyle
- Parenting
- Beauty and skincare
- Products and consumer advice
- Business and marketing
…among other things.
It’s one of my favourite things about being a freelance writer.
Give me a subject I know inside out, and I’ll get straight to work.
Give me something I’ve never encountered before, and I’ll probably emerge several hours later with 23 browser tabs open and significantly more knowledge about it than I ever expected to possess.
Your Blog Should Sound Like You
There is no universal “good blog voice”.
A playful consumer brand shouldn’t sound like a solicitor’s website. A solicitor’s website probably shouldn’t sound like a playful consumer brand.
And neither should sound like somebody typed the target keyword into an AI tool 37 times and hoped for the best.
Before I start writing, I get to know your brand, audience and existing content so I can adapt my writing accordingly.
That might mean creating content that’s:
- Friendly and conversational
- Warm and empathetic
- Witty and personality-led
- Professional and authoritative
- Educational and informative
- Persuasive without sounding like a sales pitch
- SEO-focused without becoming painfully obvious about it
If you already have a detailed style guide, I’ll follow it.
If your entire tone-of-voice brief is “professional, but please don’t make us sound boring”, I can work with that too.
SEO Content Written for Humans
Yes, I think about keywords.
I also think about the person who actually clicked on the article.
Because getting somebody onto your website is only particularly useful if the content they find there is worth reading.
I’ve worked on SEO-led content for publishers, healthcare organisations, e-commerce businesses and brands, creating articles designed around search intent while keeping the writing natural and useful.
That means incorporating keywords where they make sense, structuring articles so they’re easy to navigate and answering the questions your audience actually came looking for.
Not wedging the same phrase into every other paragraph until everybody involved needs a lie-down.
Search engines matter.
Your readers matter more.

Real Estate
Some of my real estate portfolio links are apparently practising a very strict Americans only policy.
If you’re outside the United States, you may be greeted with a “Blocked” page instead of the article. I promise I haven’t personally blocked you from viewing my work.

For reasons I haven’t quite managed to figure out, the websites hosting these particular examples block visitors from other countries. So, if a link refuses to cooperate, that’s why.
The articles do exist. I did write them. You’ll just have to take my word for it (or ask me for another example).

The Curious Case of Healthy Holistic Living
I previously wrote entertainment content for Healthy Holistic Living, covering everything from celebrity news and pop culture to the wonderfully weird stories the internet occasionally throws up.
There is, however, one small problem with showing you that work.
Healthy Holistic Living has disappeared from the internet.

Not just my articles. The entire website.
So, while I’ve kept some of my Healthy Holistic Living work listed here to show the range of entertainment content I’ve written, the original articles are no longer available to read.
They definitely existed. I definitely wrote them. Unfortunately, my ability to provide evidence is currently somewhere around “please trust me on this one”.
Not ideal for a portfolio, admittedly.
The website may be gone, but the writing experience remains.
Very philosophical for a portfolio page, really.

From a Single Blog to a Whole Content Calendar
Not every client needs the same thing.
Sometimes I’m brought in to write one article on a very specific topic.
Other times, I’m handed an entire content calendar and left to make friends with it.
I can help with:
- One-off blog posts
- Regular blog content
- SEO content projects
- Large batches of articles
- Content refreshes and rewrites
- E-commerce content
- Guides and educational resources
- Product reviews and comparisons
- Ongoing content retainers
- Overflow support for busy agencies and internal teams
So whether you’ve got one stubborn article that’s been sitting on the to-do list since February or 30 briefs that all somehow need completing yesterday, we can talk.
Can’t See What You’re Looking For?
My public portfolio only tells part of the story.
Over the years, I’ve completed a significant amount of ghostwritten and agency work that I can’t publicly display. There are also only so many portfolio links I can put on one website before it starts resembling my browser’s bookmarks folder.
If you need experience in a particular industry, format or type of content and can’t see an example above, ask me.
I may have something relevant I can share or tell you more about.
And if I’ve never written about your particular niche before, that isn’t necessarily a problem.
Good research skills travel surprisingly well.
Need a Blog Writer?
Maybe you’ve looked through the examples above and thought, “Yep. We could do with some of that.”
Excellent.
I work with businesses, brands, publishers and agencies that need well-researched content without adding another thing to an already overenthusiastic to-do list.
You bring the brief.
I’ll bring the research, words and unreasonable number of open tabs.
Book a free discovery call and tell me what you’re working on. We can chat about your audience, goals, deadlines and what kind of support you need.
No hard sell. No awkward pitch. Just a conversation about whether we’re a good fit.
Looking for Medical & Healthcare Writing?
If you’re specifically looking for examples of my specialist health and medical work, I’ve given those their own home.
There you’ll find examples covering health conditions, treatments, medicines, patient education and plenty of other topics involving body parts I’d never expected to know quite so much about.
